From Day One, I had always hoped I could find a better way to create designs for my coloring books...

About once every six months, I would get really annoyed by the software tools available to me at the time.

I was never fully satisfied with the options I had available to me, and I just knew there had to be better solutions...

I repeated this process every six months or so, for more than five years.

Every single time, the process ended with me admitting the absense of better solutions in the marketplace.

I also had to admit that I wasn't yet prepared to make my own software solution.

In the brave new world that I imagined, I had some really cool ideas about how to speed the coloring design creation process.

My thinking was that I could:

• Set my image DPI (Dots Per Inch) as a global setting.
• Be able to view my Output Image as it is being designed.
• Load one of thousands of coloring designs I already had on my hard drive into my image editing tool, to use as a Source Image.
• Define a specific region of the image to replicate in order to make a new coloring design.
• Create specific shapes to capture certain parts of the Source Image.
• Adjust the size of my shapes.
• Tweak the orientation of my shape.
• Move the location of the shape I am taking from the original image.
• Change the number of times I can replicate the image piece to create a new coloring design image.
• Have an option to make large or small tweaks to the values associated to the image I am designing.
• Randomize certain settings to go off into a completely new design tangent.
• Be able to hit UNDO multiple times if I don't like my last sets of changes.
• Have the ability to Save the image in a variety of file formats.

My goal was that if I had any design elements I wanted to introduce to my new coloring designs, then I would achieve that using another Source Image.

I also wanted to speed the process so that I could reliably create new coloring designs in just a few minutes... Every. Single. Time.

In March of 2021, I found the PERFECT software solution.

Then from that group, I will pick the 50 to 75 most visually appealing coloring designs to include in a single coloring book.

p.s. The video barely scratches the surface of what could be done with a single Source Image, because there are a lot more options than what the video demonstrates. The actual number of Output Images that can be derived from a single Source Image is a really huge number.
